Nalanda Institute for Contemplative Science was originally founded in 1998 as the Center for Meditation and Healing at the Columbia University Medical Center Department of Psychiatry in New York City. Developed by Drs. Joe Loizzo and Ina Becker, its programs embody over thirty years' experience integrating meditation and yoga with Western health science and health education.
