About the Event
Â
This day-long retreat is designed as a crash course and experiential learning workshop in the skills of radical acceptance, unilateral disarmament and emotional sharing we need to overcome traumatic blocks to intimacy and build mutual trust, care and joy. Sharing their experience with the maps and tools of recovery, deep couples work and the Hindu and Buddhist Tantric arts of blissful openness, the Nalanda Institute’s Geri and Joe Loizzo teach basic skills for dispelling the ghosts of childhood, dissolving the core shame that binds trauma, and cultivating realistic empathy, gratitude and positivity. Weaving together talks and discussion with guided meditation and gentle partner yoga, the couple will teach a streamlined version of the Tibetan art of mind-clearing they’ve found the most vital nutrient for our animal spirits of compassionate openness and unconditional love.    Â
