About the Event
Sacred Sites represent numerous tangible and intangible aspects of Spirit of Place to individuals, communities and the world. However, fires, as well as other man-made and natural disasters (earthquakes, floods, etc.) continues to devastate our Sacred Sites. Through raising awareness and understanding how and why we are losing them, what is being done at various Monasteries and Temples to better address disasters, and actions we all can take in helping, can all contribute to saving these Sites. In this talk, Chris will provide insights into this work, along with brief case studies and global efforts to save Sacred Sites, including in Mongolia and Bhutan.
