About the Event
Geshe will be teaching from his recent translation of Shantideva’s, “Shikshasamucchaya,” Compendium of Verses on Training. This is a rare opportunity to explore this amazing work of the great Nalanda scholar, Shantideva, with one of the great modern translators of and teachers of Tibetan Buddhism.

About the Presenter
Geshe Lhakdor has has served His Holiness the Dalai Lama as his translator and religious assistant since 1989. He has translated many works from English to Tibetan and from Tibetan to English and offers insight into the cultural and philosophical issues surrounding Buddhism coming to the West. Geshe Lhakdor has also been involved in the growing academic and institutional interest in Buddhism in the West. He is a trustee of the Foundation for Universal Responsibility, and the Director of the Central Archive of the Dalai Lama. He currently serves as the Director of the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives in Dharamsala, India.
