About the Event

Anam ThubtenAnam Thubten will lead this meditation retreat with teachings and guided meditations. The emphasis of this retreat is to have a glimpse of experience of our true nature, which is already perfect without having the need to be improved or changed. When this realization happens, all notions of previous suffering and conflict lose their tight grasp along with all egoic identities. Anam Thubten will teach methods that help us to stabilize and carry this new understanding of true reality into our everyday lives.

Open to all levels of interest.

About the Presenter

Anam Thubten was born in Tibet and entered into Buddhist training in the Vajrayana tradition at young age. Among his teachers, he had a special affinity toward a very inspiring Dharma teacher named Lama Tsurlo, who became his main mentor. Lama Tsurlo's kindness and wisdom gave him the firm base to advance in his dharma practice, and still serves as a source of inspiration in his ever-unfolding love of true Dharma, as well as his work as a teacher. Anam Thubten was recognized as the reincarnation of Anam Lama, when he was quite young. At this point in time, Anam Thubten serves as the main Dharma teacher for the Dharmata Foundation. He is a Buddhist scholar and writer, who has published books in both the Tibetan and English language. His first book in English appeared under the title, "No Self, No Problem" Anam Thubten teaches and leads mediation retreats, and spends most of his time in the United States. Anam Thubten states, "The reason I'm teaching is not because of having been recognized as a Tulku, or out of adherence to title and position within the Buddhist institution, but from a passionate love of true Dharma. Dharma is pure and perfect. Through it, we can transform our lives. This is neither theory or speculation. It has been demonstrated in the lives of many of us, who have taken refuge in it. Dharma is always aligned with truth, since it goes beyond all of the concepts one can have"
